The science of copywriting begins with the art of listening.

Hire a copywriter who asks the right questions and turns voice-of-customer research into high-converting web copy for your consulting or service-selling business.
So you can attract the right clients and grow your business doing what you love and know best.

Hi, I’m Vesna!

My process begins by learning about you and your ideal clients.

I book 3 to 4 weeks out. So if you think I might be the one for you, let’s chat as soon as possible.

Vesna Mirosavljev

I’m a messaging strategist and copywriter who values relationships and results. I live in the suburbs of Vancouver, B.C., Canada, where I snowboard in the winter and sunbathe on ocean beaches in the summer.

Consultants, solopreneurs, and customer-obsessed B2B tech companies love working with me because I give them the one-on-one attention they can’t get from a marketing agency or newbie copywriter. That means:

Everyone I work with is a VIP in my books. Your project is not second fiddle. You’ll get priority service.

I care deeply about making a difference in your business. I don’t want to be just another freelancer who turns into a sunk cost for you.

Your relationship with your clients is something I respect. And you can trust me to preserve these relationships when I research and interview them.

I price my projects in a way that allows me to deliver my best work. My fees are not the lowest you can find on Upwork or Fiverr, and there are good reasons for that. (You wouldn’t want to have 9 other people renting my brain in the same month.)

A great connection is important to me, and you’ll experience that in all my communications with you. Schedules and skills permitting, I love supporting my clients again and again.

On a less serious note, I’ll laugh at all your jokes. And I can’t even help it. (I’m told I have a rare and refreshing sense of humour.)

“Vesna is by far the best freelancer I have ever hired. Her communication was top-notch, and her copywriting skills are pretty amazing. I enjoyed working with Vesna and will likely have additional jobs for her in the future.”

THE BACK STORY

Once upon a time, I was a bored-to-tears copyeditor

Every day I edited magazine articles and book manuscripts in the non-profit and post-secondary education sectors.

I corrected grammar, syntax and punctuation and made sure the writer’s message and voice came through loud and clear. (“Yawn” for you but “yay” for me … at the time.)

With a BA in English from Burman University and a Certificate in Editing from Simon Fraser University, I thought copyediting was meant to be. I could play with words and polish other people’s writing— without having to become a writer myself.

Especially not a copywriter.

I mean, didn’t copywriters write billboard ads, cereal box copy and tacky advertorials?

Or worse, cringe-worthy bro marketing funnels?

Hard pass for me.

But one day in 2019, I worked with an incredible client who saw I could do so much more. Working with them opened the door to a world of copywriting I never knew existed.

Sparks flew and I started reading, watching, and taking courses in everything copywriting-related I could get my hands on.

Because of that, I discovered Copyhackers Copy School in 2020. Mind blown. I finally learned that writing copy was not a right-brain-only talent superhuman people were magically born with.

I learned to use my left brain (research, analysis, hypothesis) to access my right brain through “sticky” voice-of-customer data. Now I know how to come up with clear, compelling copy rooted in concrete reasoning.

This combination of intellect and creativity is exactly what has led me to work with solopreneurs and consultants in sophisticated industries like software and tech. And you know what? I love it.

So let’s get in touch and see how I can help you.

SINCE YOU’RE STILL HERE …

10 random facts that make me human

My name is Slavic and has two possible meanings: “Goddess of spring” and “Messenger.”

INFJ in Myers-Briggs. (Yes, I’m in the <1%).

I spoke 4 languages by the time I was 12.

I used to play electric bass in church.

I love plants (eating them), but I can’t grow ’em. It’s a shame, I know. Especially since I’ve been a vegetarian-vegan for 20 years!

Basketball mom. I have two sons who keep me busy cheering at games and driving them to practice (and feeding their monstrous metabolisms!)

My Spotify profile has multiple personalities. You’ll find rap playlists featuring J. Cole, Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar, as well as rock playlists with Led Zeppelin and Jimi Hendrix.

In the winters I escape my brain by snowboarding in the mountains of Greater Vancouver, B.C. In the summers I’ll swim as far as I can in our local lakes.

My ideal vacation is the laaaaziest of lazy all-inclusive tropical resorts.

I’m not a techie, but I’ve always been surrounded by them—from my software-programming dad, to my crypto-mining brother who works in IT, to my partner who’s an IT solutions architect. When you talk shop, I promise my eyes won’t glaze over too too much.

With the small talk out of the way …
